Cool

Anyone seen/heard Rich Askew's monster exhaust on his MY98 five-door (Breadvan/Ambulance )?

Well I actually had first refusal on that exhaust a while back and thought it might be a bit...Max Power for me! After a month of sitting in my hallway, it went to Rich.

The first time I saw it on his car and heard it, I knew I'd made a mistake!

The bass makes your sternum itch!

Anyway, now he's moving to an Elise...I've got my grubby little mitts on it.

So the question is:

My car is an MY99 - I'm keeping the standard downpipe, and replacing the standard mid-section and my scoobysport rear-box. The new stuff is probably 3" straight thru, with at least 5" outlet.

What are my chances on passing the first MOT on emissions, if the thing is warm? (Thanks to the downpipe cat).

Do I just have to wait until the MOT is done, and then fit it?

I know this has all been asked umpty-million times before, but finding a decent close answer on here without SEARCH is tricky.

Regards,
Squizz.

The DP cat by itself should be fine for the MOT. It's only having the centre one that gets a bit more iffy!

Cheers nom, anymore votes for immediate fitting?

I don't wanna spend £££'s getting it swapped only to have to get it done again at MOT time.

The PPP cars and the P1 have the downpipe cat only and there hasn't been any reports of them failing emissions.

The choice is yours! Go on, you know you want to

Justin,

DOH!

Oh yeah...The P1 only as a resonator box in the centre, doesn't it. So I guess as long as my Lambda Sensor is operating properly, then all should be well.
