Default Why is my exedy organic clutch so heavy??

Howdy,
I posted a while ago, asking what's a good clutch for a car running an MD321t+
I decided that I would take my chances with an Exedy organic
Thinking that it would be the closest feel to the standard clutch,
I was willing to take the chance that it wouldn't handle the torque!

Any way, that's not the problem!
It's really heavy, and it only acts in the last inch and a half of about 6 inch travel!

A mate of my has a jap 2003 sti with an exedy organic and it is a pleasure to use!

Mine is a PULL type clutch if that makes a difference!

Any Ideas as to why it's so heavy, and how to make it lighter!
Thanks lads
Dan

The whole lot.
It's a wierd one, A mate of mine has the same clutch in his car,
It's lovely to use, very frustrating!
We are going to try move the leverage point on the clutch pedal up towards the pivot point for some more leverage!
I let you's know how I get on!

It's not a cheapy off eBay is it? Heard horror stories recen;ty about how they just use an Exedy plate and use cheap cover etc.

A couple of folk I know fitted them and have had problems such as judder and stiffer pedal feel etc.

Wont it feel stiff as the pressure plate is uprated from your standard one so it can cope with more power,
Your mates could just be warn or abused(no idea how old the clutch is) so feels lighter.
