Default any tips on refittting a 94 wrx gear box??

i droped it out dead easy!!! but haveing major probs getting the new one back in lol... i can get it on the top box bolts and the lower studs but the lower ones will not go thru the holes its like they are hitting something???? ive just droped it down again and cant find any thing stopping it from moveing that last half inch or so... been like this last 2 days its getin on me wick now lol!!!

aligned properly i believe!!! 100% i think this will be your problem or the bottom clutch cover which is a small sheet of thin metal

as above mate you've got to have it perfectly aligned going back on as the engine goes forward when the box is took off, i did mine about a week ago had the same problem i had quite a few guides to removing & fitting but none mentioned this which through me when it wouldnt go back on, i couldnt find anywere safe to jack the engine slightly to level it out so rocked & pushed the engine back as much as i could whilst my dad pushed the box & it eventually went on

finally got the bloody thing back on!!!!! thanks for the help guys.... is it a new record just under 5 weeks to drop and change a box???... i work 7 days a week and only get a hour here or there lol

glad you sorted it mate, what turned out to be the problem in the end of it not going back on? i did mine spread over 2 weeks inbetween work & looking after my lad but glad i did it myself, you must hold the record though unless there's any more takers

i havent a clue what was stopping it just wobbled it a lot and the bottom studs slid thru..... see how long it takes me to fit a tdo5 turbo and blob eye seats now lol
