Default Clutch on way out - anyone recommend a garage nr Dorking, Surrey

The clutch is on the way out on my 1999 2.0 turbo (at least I think its the clutch). Its slowly got worse over last 5000 miles and is now slipping and
A smelling.

A quote from a recommended but non-specialist local garage was £800 fitted without doing anything to the flywheel (quoted 8 hours). Going to the main dealer was a mother shocking £1200 with the flywheel changed about a grand without.

Can anyone tell me of a good Scooby independent in the Dorking / Redhill area?

Also do you need to replace the flywheel as a matter of course? Ie is not changing it a false economy?

Thanks

M.

Can be done for a fair bit less than that.

It's not a specialist job, any competent mechanic/garage will be able to do it in around 4 hours. Arrange the price up front £200-£250.

We can supply you a Exedy Clutch Kit for £146.99 delivered: https://www.scoobynet.com/trader-ann...delivered.html

I always recommend having the flywheel skimmed, especially if your current clutch is slipping (£20-50).
