I'm having a nightmare trying to convert my gauge readings to psi, my cars MY99 with full decat HKS Hiper zorst.
Dawes setup this morning, superb gains in performance but I'm now worried after reading the Dawes posts that this is too high
Is the equation kilograms/cm²(defi reading) to psi *14.223 ??
If it is I work that to be 17psi peak and 15.6psi held
and thats on a mild(ish) day like today...
Any thoughts?
Cheers
John

John, 17psi peak and 15/16psi held should not be to much of a problem. I know of quite a few scoobs that run that and a bit more without issues. The best bet for safety would be take it to a rolling road and get them to do a run whilst using det cans. This should tell them if the car is pinking/detting.

John, I agree with Danny, I ran round with a superchip (oh, the shame of it) for about a year at this level of boost without a problem. Get it checked on a rolling road for peace of mind though. Most Impreza's run rich as standard, so can get away with more boost, but £40 ish pounds pounds getting it checked is a worthwhile investment.
