Default Clutch for Impreza Turbo GC8

Heya

I need to replace clutch for my MY00 Impreza Turbo GC8

Found this clutch kit (KSB03)

Says it's for WRX 2002-2005, will it fit my GC8?

Thanks

Thanks for your reply!

I'd really appreciate it if somebody can be certain about it, since I'm sending this clutch from the USA overseas to my country

The clutch pictured will NOT fit a turbo GC8, it is a press clutch and all GC8 turbos have a pull clutch. The release bearing is definitely wrong, the cover is definitely wrong and by the looks of it the clutch friction disc is wrong too.

Shame on you Bob'5

Do you only look at pictures David? The clutch is correct.

Might explain why you don't know how a spark plug works

I confirm the clutch in the picture on Ebay will not fit a turbo car.

What's spark plugs got to do with it ??

Ignoring the description, spec and part number, does the picture look correct?

Thanks

Aaah!, what you're saying then is that the Ebay / internet seller [ along with most of them ] is selling something that is not the same as the picture ?

If they do stuff like that, they are likely to send the wrong part out cos they haven't really got a clue what they're doing. Then they say to the customer " Didn't you look at the picture? It's not our fault that you ordered the wrong clutch..... "

I can hear them saying it, now.

I am sure there is a law against that somewhere.

I doubt it David. Most companies use part numbers when order processing, not pictures

Deary me.
Mayrun, just to help you cut through some of this, the clutch that was pictured was a push clutch and no use to you.
The GC8 Subaru clutch is interchangable with the New Age 5 speed clutch MY01-05.

Hey didn't see the replies until now

Exedy USA Technical Coordinator said to me that this clutch (KSB03) is a 5 speed pull type clutch and it will directly replace the older GC chassis clutch even though it is for the GDA chassis.

The GC came with a 225mm disc, the KSB03 has a 230mm disc but will fit the GC flywheels with no issue.

Also this review says it will fit GC8 and also shows the right picture:

All GC and GDA vehicles were pull type, right?

Thanks
