Default bugeye wrx lightweight flywheel

is this a worthwhile mod? am doing the clutch on my standard wrx next weekend and am thinking of getting a lightweight flywheel as well. is this a worthwhile mod will it affect the performance much on the standard car? will be getting new injectors turbo remap ect soon so will this be a good base to build on?

im using an exedy fast road clutch kit and am looking at the exedy lightweight flywheel

cheers

Won't do much for the performance but will make the engine more responsive so it may feel quicker. Worthwhile if you've got the box off.

A light flywheel is one of our most popular upgrades when we do either engine builds or clutch fits. By losing up to 5 Kg's off the original flywheel there is less weight for the turbo to get spinning and engine response is greatly improved.

Graham is correct; no horsepower gain, but a huge gain in spool up.

We modify original Subaru flywheels down to the 7 K'gs mark which is just shy of the homologated Competition weight.

Cost is £150.00 + VAT and delivery:- exchange.

We have stock.

Good Luck - David APi
