Default Driveshaft hub fitments

I am converting a 1998 2.5 legacy engine and gearbox to to run as a mid mount + transaxle in a build project. I had intended to use the hubs off the donor car I bought but they have turned out to be too corroded to really be fit for the job.

What other models hubs will the legacy rear shafts fit? Are they interchangeable or will I, if say I get Impreza hubs, have to get the shafts of the same model to fit?

I am already having to cut and splice to use the front drive outputs to make up the new shafts but I would rather avoid the expense of getting more rears if avoidable.

The shafts I have are from a 98 2.5 4cam outback - uk spec

Thanks

Phil
