Default What gear oil for 05 sti?

I have a uk 05 sti with dccd, and finding down changing from 3rd to 2nd, +2nd to 1st requireing excessive pressure on gearstick to change when vehicle moving only+ only happens when engine cold. Have changed gear oil with shell sl 80/90 but no improvement, suspect this is due to thick gear oil in sycros when cold , would like to no if castol syntax 75/90 would fix this or any other oils recemended. Also would like to no what type of rear diff is in mine, is it open type using lsd oil?
