Will flameouts cause exhaust/turbo damage?
Thinking about getting either a Forge or a Baileys DV (probably the Forge as it's supposedly not as loud) but I am concerned about possible exhaust or turbo damage. Surely any flame detonating in the exhaust will also cause a pressure wave backwards towards the turbo? If so then will it decrease turbo life?
Kill-switching my bike (Firestorm) gives a couple of nice flames out the back, but I'm fully aware that long-term it can burn out the exhaust valves and stress the exhaust welds. I know the valves should be safe in a scoob as the turbo is behind them but I suppose welds can be stressed all the same.

Any ideas?

If there is backfire with this then yes, otherwise it is just the heat in the exhaust lighting the unburnt fuel in the exhaust so not a problem.
If you are running a steel pipe the of course flames will burn this out faster.
