Clutch Adjustment on W Reg Classic Sport

Default Clutch Adjustment on W Reg Classic Sport

I've just bought a 2lt sport thats had another gear box fitted recently, all works fine but clutch bite is right at the top, can this be adjusted manually and how ?

No adjustment mate as they are Hydraulic

Thanks mate,Is this normal for the clutch bite to be high or do i need to put a new clutch in ?

I wouldn't say its normal.

If it starts to slip, then change it.
Otherwise just get used to it.

I've also been told that it could have been the fact that it wasn't bled right when the gearbox was fitted or could it be that the clutch pedal needs resetting ! any ideas ! Thanks

A Sport does not have a Hydraulic clutch, it is operated by cable.

As has been said, just because it bites at the top does not mean that it is knackered.

If you have any freeplay in the clutch pedal then there is some adustment available under the bonnet at the end of the cable. There are a couple of locknuts that can be slackened to allow you to pull the cable back and remove any slack.

Hi again, thanks again for advice on clutch adjustment, done as you said and now works atreat Cheers for that.
