Question

Does anybody know what the power gains are for a MY99 PPP ?

I'm currently pulling 240.5bhp @ 220lbf-ft.
Thats with filter and backbox. (readings taken from rr day at John Noble Motorsport).

Just wondering what a ppp would give me.

Thanks
Kevin

I had 233bhp and 221lb/ft as standard.

Then with full decat, ITG and 25 quid dawes got 266bhp and 257lb/ft. Better than PPP, and also more than quite a few decat PPP I've seen too. Cheaper than spending 1700 odd quid!!!

is the dawes thing easy to fit and then remove for servicing.

the problem is, i bought the impreza and took out a 3 year loan and to cover the car the warrenty has been extended for an extra 2 years. So that if the big end or turbo goes, its still under warrenty while i'm still paying it off.

Another query, is there an easy ecu thing that can be easily removed for servicing.

dawes is a 15 minute fit and off again just as quick

loads of threads in drivetrain about it, should help you decide either way........

Official Prodrive figures from memory (I am not CERTAIN about the power on the MY01 but it is only out a tiny bit if at all, am certain about the rest). These are bench dyno figures on new engines so compare with the official 215 bhp 215lbft for MY00 and 01.

MY99/00 PPP 237BHP 258lbft @3500 RPM
MY01 PPP 240-242BHP 261lbft @4000-4100 RPM

You cannot take rolling road figures with any more than a very large pinch of salt I am afraid, so please don't try.

If you are one of the many with problems with your PPP underperforming I would advise to check your car is running smoothly and making the right boost and I would be done with that. Any PPP should hold over 16 PSI from all I have seen/heard.
