Default newbie with a problem

Well Iv just not long got my hands on a 04 twin scroll sti but seem to have developet a problem and hoping one of you guys can help me out. Il try explain as best i can.

When accelerating and driving theres a whining noise from the rear, sort of sounds like a wheel bearing noise however when I take my foot off the pedal then it stops, It does this is every gear once im past 30mph and as long as i have my foot on the accelerator it does it, there is no clunking or that just the whine. Cam amyone help me out with a probable cause.

thanks

graeme

Hi, i think i have something similar on my 02 sti, its not so much whirring, but more like lots of road noise, but also with a hint of whirring....hope that makes sense!!

the tyres seem a little low, so getting some new ones tomorrow....but, can, uneven / low pressures/ low tread tyres, really make that much noise??
