Default grinding in reverse

hi peeps my scoobs just had a second hand box fitted with new clutch and rear diff. and every gear is fine with no whines but when i put in reverse it will grind into it like not engaging properly. could this be the clutch bedding in or is the box a duff one? im sick of this car just an endless pit for money

both my imprezas have grinded into reverse. its nothing to worry bout.

Try engaging 5th before reverse.
