just wondered what the current aftermarket exhaust favourite is?

SS, HKS, Blitz? something else?

I just got a TSL Back Box 90mm round...very very nice sounding box (I have a scoobysport de-cat mid section as well) sounds very nice with windows down, not intrusive at all at m-way speeds, just enough to hear it just, but you can hear it more on application of more throttle ! looks very nice as well . Oh yeh fit is pretty much perfect.

I have a Revolution complete system from turbo, easy to fit and a good fit! Keeps up close to the underside of the car, great if you like the lanes! Good performance agains also, much less lag between gear changes, revs far better and much stronger. The steel is not shinny though, have seen pics of others and the steel seems very polished, perhaps at this price what can you expect.
i would recommend it.BUT I GET NO FLAMES!!!! SEE MY ONGOING POST

Scoobysport is very nice. I had a full decat system on my old MY00. Sal's Dad currently has a full SS decat on his MY97 and I've just had a full system fitted on my MY01. Lovely sound - not intrusive (in the MY01 anyway) and good quality. Good increases in bhp and torque (especially on the MY01 - I reckon it is as good as fitting a PPP) You could say I'm a fan.

Total cost fitted as new by Scoobysport would be around £800 for Dp, centre and backbox (inc VAT and fitting). Keep your eyes open in the for sale section as things are always coming uo.

If you want VERY quiet then I have a MRT 3" downpipe with high-flow cat, MRT 3" centre section with muffler and a Remus backbox.

Much quieter than the OE exhaust - but obviously flows a lot better.

Thanks

Gavin

I've had Scoobysport, Remus & PPP BBs (all on SS DP & mid) - Scoobysport sounds great at all RPM - loud, but droney on long trips. Remus - silent as a silent thing. Sounds more like a BMW somehow... PPP BB quiet at low RPM, gets significantly louder when pushed & sounds great (but different!); quiet at a cruise.

PPP is my favourite out of this lot as it's 'useable' in virtually any situation (as in I don't work the street up unless I want to ). Bit of a bu66er to get hold of, though.

Can't say I notice any difference in 'power increase' between them - I'd say all about as free-flowing as each other (as in a lot better than the standard effort!).

All IMHO, naturally

SS 3" DP and HKS Ti-Hiper centre and BB. Not had anything else to compare it with apart from the standard exhaust, but think it is totally awesome!

I got the MRT TB 3" exhaust on mine. Absolutely wicked. Sounds great and really pulls well. The sound is only slightly louder than stock and at WOT I can still hear my passengers muttering "Holy @#$@# this thing moves" under their breaths.

PE T75 d/p,magnex straight through c/s with Blitz nur spec b/b and sometimes an STI b/b when the Blitz gets too much.the Blitz gives better performance than any other combinations I have used on my car (magnex round and oval, standard and STI)but is loud.start up on auto ckoke and houses shake.up to 3000rpm it sounds good over this it looses the scooby sound and has a more high pitched rasp sound like a rally car if that makes sense.

the Prodrive b/b is very restrictive in my opinion.side by side with the Blitz the bends in the Prodrive were like right angles.john banks tried my Blitz and his car started hitting overboost,he turned the Dawes down a bit to lower the boost, but then felt no gain, but after refitting the Prodrive b/b had to turn the Dawes back up.

Hi,

I've got the Revolution system, and can echo all what Big_Snapper says, can't say for sure how many horses extra it released as I don't have a reference figure before fitting, but a considerable gain from standard.
I do get flames tho , but only visible at night .

Revolution SS system (it's actually a Jetex). A bit drony on the motorway but not too OTT (ie burbles nicely at all other times)
