Very confused. please help.

Off to scoobysport next week, to get a new exhaust, but I am now totally confused.
I have read through lots of posts, and decided to fit the DP, and back box, but keep the original mid section (with CAT). From what I gather, this will give me the best power increases, whilst keeping a CAT.
Apparently there is also a cat in the manifold (MY01), so theoretically, this will leave my car with 2 CATS.
Could someone please confirm this, and also tell me if it will pass MOT with these two.
Olly.
PS.
Search still not working !

Being as no one else seems to want to post, I'll do it - I'm bored!
Sadly I have no idea if MY01 has a Cat. in the manifold, but I seriously doubt it. Consensus has it that you should just be able to pass an emission test with a (hot) centre Cat. only. I got SS to do an MOT when I had my final Cat. removed that way you don't have to worry about it for a year, not that you have to as it's so new.
Best answer will be to speak to SS, they will know for sure about the Cat.
You are going to love the changes in noise and performance!!

The MY01 *does* have a cat in the turbo up pipe (the STI7 doesn't, however).
Both our WRX's have a full decat from the turbo back, one retains the cat in the up pipe, the other doesn't. Either option is OK.
It *should* pass an MOT fine in the way you want to do it.
I think the confusion has come about because Pete will not decat a PPP MY01 and leave the cat in the up pipe - it is too close to the margins of the ECU map - if the car has a PPP, it must have the up pipe cat taken out, if it doesn't have a PPP it can stay.

You will only get the best out of this if you pull the lot off, including up pipe.
Having said that, the d/p makes the most single difference, and the backbox gives the best sound, so if you have to go for a compromise, yours is probably the best one.
