Default clutch woes

right heres my predicament
my clutch started slipping last week so ordered a new one from exedy 114quid not bad i thought then garage wanted 180 to fit so i think to my self ok its a bigish job that will be fine!

i got a phone call off teh garage yesterday saying the gear box wouldnt come off so 5 hours later the gearbox was half way off and looking worse for wear as the clutch was stuck to the gearbox spline and to get the clutch off we had to torch it off the gearbox thats how bad it was and to top it all off the heat from the clutch slipping has cracked my flywheel

were hoping a skim will sort it and its just surface cracks but if not wheres the best place to get a new flywheel from or even a second hand one?

any help will be greatly recieved as im getting alittle bit peed off with the scoob to the point im considering getting rid

matt

Sounds to me like they was doing something wrong! Which will end up costing you more in the long run. If they have heated the input its worth making a note that there is a seal just within the casing that’s now possibly damaged

If you bought it off ebay it might be one of those dodgy copies, just to add to your woes
