i guess it woul dbe an idea to do the flywheel at the same time so any reconmendations as i dont think the std clutch and fly wheel will cope withthe extra power

if your running it at 1.7 bar and your looking to upgrade the turbo in a few months down the line then i would go exedy twin plate peace of mind. you wont have to worry about braking for a long time. expensive but a good long term investment.

well at the min i think the car is set to 1.45 or 1.5 but along with the 18g and some supporting mods it will be back to bob for mapping so i dont really know what he will set it to

how much are you looking at for the twin palte?

and i have heard that an uprated clutch can change the feel of the drive? will this happen witha twin plate? and what or how does it change

It's only a bit of fun mate, but it is deserved praise, as you're about to find out!

Enjoy the conversion!

I certainly hope so Been having some problems during the work on mine over the last couple of months, but we're getting there...

To OP, I ran a WRX03 2.0 and 18g for 2 years on std clutch and gearbox and both were 100%. It was the big end bearings that let mine down...

Have a read of;

that ought to make your mind up.

You certainly DO NOT need a twin plate and all the problems they bring along.

They are all very noisy and VERY unfriendly to use in traffic. It is not and never was, meant to be a road going clutch. Constant slipping [ attempted slipping I mean ] in traffic makes for excess wear and consequent shortening of clutch life.
