I have just been quoted for mine, at a reputable Scooby specialist it worked out at 5 Hours Labour, hope that helps.

I am curous what other say now, mine's booked in on Tuesday for new clutch. Mine is a 98 UK Classic, assume the year/model has little effect on times though.

If your not too far there is a good garage Nr Alfreton Derbyshire(just off J28 M1) its £150 for a clutch swap and a extra £15 if ur having the flywheel swapped, its about 4hrs as long as ur flywheel doesnt want skimming.

well, aint got a complete price for job(cant decide weather or not to replace flywheel for a lightened one as well)but am gonna have both front drive shaft seals done as well whilst it's all out.But was roughly estimated 5 hours labour, depending on any problems.(not sliping just juddering) but for a helix clutch ,lightend&balanced flywheel both front drive shaft seals+labour im thinking it's gonna be around the £1000 mark

Our 2004 WRX is booked in for a new clutch tomorrow. Clutch was £176 for a LUK one, will know how much fitting was on Tuesday evening.

Still not sure whether i will need a new flywheel or skim the old one.

Are you supposed to change gearbox oil?

Not sure, weve got to go and pick it up soon, but i dont think so. That might add a few £'s to the overall price.

Well, had a nice surprise when we went to pay for/collect it. It did indeed include the release bearing and was cheaper than quoted over the phone. £149.50p inc VAT

Now to wait and see how much fitting is

Just done a quick re-check with them and it is £200 inc VAT, so quite happy with that. Small amount of gearbox oil possibly if needed, but not too bad

We charge a fixed £150 to swap a clutch on any Subaru. We will swap the flywheel at the same time if required. No extra charge. Same price for a gearbox change and lubricants on top. All same day service.
We usually have a variety of replacement flywheels available, 5 speed and six speed so no need to go to the expense of a flywheel if not required. New flywheels, secondhand flywheels, new and secondhand lightweight flywheels.
All secondhand, ground flywheels, lightened or not are rebalanced.
