Hi everyone!
Ive recently had vented bonnet and the sti version 6 spoiler fitted(2000 impretza silver) it starting to look good. except its only a sport model. To add a turbo is there lots involved? i know about changing manifold, possilby adding front intercooler things like that but i just wondered if the turbo unit itself is much work? and which is the best for me? cheerz guys!

Easier (and cheaper) to sell the car and buy a turbo version.

Would never run right imo. Would need loom changes, manifolds, internals on the 2ltr NA engine.. etc etc..

Would be an absoloute waste of time I think.

Sell it and get a Turbo 2000 or WRX.

Same as above.
By the time you've spent spending on trying to get a turbo to fit, and labour, wiring, exhaust, brake upgrade.
Then you might as well have bought a 2000 Turbo, or WRX, it all done then, and spend the money you were going to on yours and mod, to make it a beast.

alternatively, buy
a turbo car, and spend hours swapping each part over to your current car. and maybe strengthen the chassis?

basically ^^^^ as above. im sure your very attatched to that car, but sell it, youll be more attatched to your new one

Its not just adding a turbo, its the fact your base engine is wrong, the clutch is too small, you don't have the right EMS, your brakes and suspension will be marginal etc etc...it would be cheaper (purchase and insurance) to buy a turbo and sell your sport.

It can be done.

The way to do it is sell the Sport and buy a turbo model
