Question

I am seriously considering an engine rebuild but have 2 conflicting views - one says that you should run higher compression as this will result in a better power output 'pre-boost' & the other says that you should run lower compression and more boost as higher compression will only mean less advance, to avoid det, and therefore less power. My preference would be for max torque (I think) and not for ultimate max bhp as this can often result in a less flexible/driveable car. Anyone care to comment
