Default Help! Rear diff, strut, bearing brakes?

Hello people,

Took teh car out tonight and it fell poorly sick..

First of all theres a knocking coming from the rear in normal driving

Secondly at times with left hand down theres an awful knocking / grinding sound from the rear passenger side

And lastly the abs light came on

Ooooo and one time the brakes went funny and kinda locked and made a grinding noise - only at about 5mph!

Now - only had brakes changed (pads and discs) during the summer.
It doesnt appear to be zorst rattling or anything like that.
Nowt in the boot to make that noise.

Ermmmmmmmmmm help!!!!

Could the "grinding" sound be the abs cutting in on that wheel which is then sending a weird signal to bring the light on?

Make sure the ABS sensor wire is located correctly in the hub (12mm bolt if i remember correctly) and make sure the contact surface of the sensor is clean.

As for the knocking that sounds like something else. Is everything really tight with no play???

Yeah it drives fine...just knocking as described!
Thinking about taking it over to formula one or something to see if they can throw it on the ramps to have a look maybe??

be prepared for your £180 to grow all depends what they find when they strip it out! you might be lucky and get away with a bearing but then again you might not............!!

booked in at 12 - gonna stay there all the time and make sure they check everything over!
Fooked if it is anymore....as will have to wait for parts
Would just the bearing affect the braking system with regards to abs light and leave a score mark on the disc?

bearing would do that to brakes, issues with hub damage would also be down to bearing failure depends how bad the bearing is really

Hub fine
Driveshaft fine
