Default Clutch info

Was wondering does anyone have an exedy organic 230mm clutch fitted as want to know what are they like to take off in?
Its just the clutch in my car jutters like mad when i take off so im looking for a clutch thats easy to use.

Im not 100% sure but think its an exedy hiper single unit. Its a horrible clutch to use so looking for something abit more drivable as its an everyday car.

Not sure what bhp or torque. Only major mod done to the car is it has a 2.5 bottom end, a back box and power fc. Dnt think will be doing too much more to it.

I have an AP organic in my Modded Bugeye running about 400 / 350.......I don't think the AP is as tough as the exeddy but it's nice and light on the pedal and easy and smooth to drive around town.

Having said that I think you get used to what you have....it took a while for me to get used to the lightened flywheel but I stopped stalling it after a few days LOL.

I be hoping the exedy be similar to that as your clutch sounds like what im looking for.
Ino you prob get used to most clutch's but the clutch in my scooby is a nightmare, cnt wait to get rid of it.

Having said that I have an AP, I don't think you will be dissapointed with the exedy either. Most things have to be an improvement on the OEM clutch.

Mind you Ninnybobs had his OEM clutch for years.........trouble free LOL

John : How long have you had the clutch fitted?
I have heard of a few 230 mm clutch judder complaints recently and now understand that Exedy are bringing out a new design which hopefully will eliminate judder.

Is this going to get turned in to yet another trader argument/sagging off thread about clutches

John I would remove the company name before you get banned advertising is not allowed if you havent paid

Not sure how long its been fitted as was in the car when i bought it. It just judders every time i try to take off.

You can try slipping the clutch a bit. A lot of load and let it slip a bit without hitting the rev limiter.
If that does not work and you cannot live with the judder I am afraid you need the clutch replaced and a typical price is £155 for the complete clutch kit and £150 for fitting.
