Question

Why are Scoobys such a pain to tune? It seems to me that with alot of other performance cars that a simple zorst, filter a chip and you're into 350bhp land. Is this just because these other cars have been around longer? I'm thinking of 200SX's, Sunny's, Supra's and of course cossies.

Any thoughts?

Chaz

You are missing the point of a Scooby.

Every car you list has a steel block, so can be tuned to a higher level.

An Impreza has a very light engine, that lays flat and creates a low CoG for the car.

Whilst you can easily get 350bhp out of the cars on your list, none of them in 350bhp form would keep with a 240bhp Scooby down a good set of twisty roads.
