Garage in West London to change clutch?
Can anyone recommend a garage in west London that will change my clutch without charging silly money and roughly how much they charged?
Also how can you tell if the flywheel needs replacing? Sorry for the noob question!
Thanks.

Power Engineering are down in W.london, however they are pricey.
For a good service and reasonable cost I would only use one place in London.:

Once the clutch is removed you can tell if the Flywheel has been Fubar'd or not...

I thought that would be the case, I may have to buy a flywheel in case then, can't really be without the car for more than a couple of days so sourcing one while in the garage may take too long.
Anyone else got any well priced garages they have used and how much they charged for changing the clutch and/or flywheel?
I'll give Slowboy a call.
Thanks for the reply R4LLY!

Hi thanks for the replies. I'm in Hayes, near Heathrow. I've had contact with Subaru4u and Slowboy now, both asking about £200 for fitting and about 80 and the latter asking 60 for part exchange on a skimmed flywheel.
Is this a decent price? Haven't had to change a clutch on a Scoob before.
Thanks for the offer Bob but already got a clutch and with regards to the flywheel I'll pass as need to do a service and belt change so those would be taking priority.

Hi I just bought a cam belt supplied and fitted from ebay for £115. The guys are based near Reading and were really friendly. They also have supplied and fitted clutches listed too. I hope this helps

Give Angie a call at AnG Services on 020 8963 0333 in Park Royal. They looked after my scoob and quite a few of the West London boy scoobs. Used to run Subaru dealership in Acton

Whats the charge out rate for A&G
PowerEngineering charge a fortune.......
I live near Heathrow and usually use my cousin, whose a mechanic, but he's in India for 6 months! (he charges me nothing and is very quick)

PowerEngineering = OUCH!
Think their hourly rate is £50 - they do alot for Subaru dealerships round there and other garages.
Depends what needs to be done. Some stuff me and a couple of the lads do at the weekend - Heathrow only up the road

I need to wrap headers and change a gasket on the up-pipe (between Manifold and Up-pipe)
To get the Manifold off is a git (I tried it and couldnt get at the top bolt connecting the bottom of the up-pipe to the headers)
I've got the Gasket and should have the wrap tomorrow........
I cant see any option other than downpipe and Turbo off?
I live in Osterley........
