Oil and filter.
#1
I know this has probably been brought up a million times, but search is still down so, research seems to indicate that Castrol RS 10W/60 or Motul 300V 15w/50 are the oils of choice (is there an easier to get hold of alternative?) but what oil filter do I use for a 93WRX? Is it the same as an early UK turbo?

I've got a 93WRX and because I sometimes get problems buying from main dealers I just fit.........dare I say it............Halfords ones. Also they sell an alternative make which I think I got last time. No problems yet.
I use Mobil 1 Motorsport....engine always sounds lovely after a change with that stuff and it's apparently a safe/good oil to use in turbo machines. Power Engineering recommend it (dunno if that's a good bad thing though) and others.....

Is the Mobil 1 Motorsport the 15W/50 viscosity? If so, this oil is fine to use. Scooby engines should not have the 0W based oils in them cos they are too thin for our engines.
