Just an FYI... for those who are wary about the mild steel exhaust manifold. Check out this following link... there are pictures for the iON Performance exhaust manifold+up-pipe. Made of 16 gauge T304SS.

I've seen these in person, and compared to the HKS ones, the HKS ones look like they've been made by a little kid!

Hi Dave.Be careful with manifolds as there was some debate on the bbs about whether they were particularly effective(for the impreza) especially with respect the their price. In fact I remember some people saying it dropped their BHP.

On Stephen Done's car it has had good results when combined with free flowing intake, exhaust mods and a remap. Interestingly it seems to have the effect of almost "resizing" his turbo - his car will flow almost as much air as mine does with a bigger turbo at the same boost, but oddly he now gets more lag in terms of boost and airflow despite having a smaller turbo, although some of this has been improved with further mapping. It still dies at the top end but nothing like the standard turbo on a car with a full exhaust but OEM manifold. I think they are expensive for what they do, and personally don't like the change in noise, but it is impressive to see what the standard turbo is capable of.

Well that price is very good and I might be interested! Someone that has tried it would be good though.

After speaking to Midland the manifold is made from mild steel hence the price, also they reckon that it will be less prone to cracks, than stainless

Less likely to crack and quieter but more prone to rust(I think)
