Default is this an lsd ????????

i recently bought a 95 wrx for the sum of 600£ with the engine in bits in the boot and was going to break it as i and 5 of my friends run the cars and i do all the work. i have done numerous engine and gearbox swaps but never had any problem with the rear diffs, until now i decided not to break the car as it was to good so fitted a new engine when i was pushing the car in to the workshop i notced the rear wheels skipping but only when the steering was in lock, i put it down to a knackered diff so fitted one of a another scrap car i have, all was good i decided to strip the diff i removed to see if it could be repaired, there are plates on either side of the planet gears in the center of the diff casing that resemle motor bike clutch plates, i do have photos but dont know how to post them on here, any photos of an lsd would be a great help thanks.
