AFR meter wiring question
#1
I've just bought an AFR meter and was wondering which wire to tap into by the ECU on a 95 WRX (260ps model) for the lambda sensor. Any help would be useful.

On my 96 UK it was the white wire.
There were 3 wires on my lambda, red black and white.
If metered, red gives 12v, black gives 0v and white gives 5v.
I'm told that you look for the wire carrying 5v as this means it's connected to youe ECU.
Hope this helps.
Which one have you bought?

I know but I was wondering whether it would be different for a 95WRX type ECU. It's probably the same as yours and Rich's, I will be fitting it at the weekend hopefully when there is some day light.

I bought the Phantom Electrical Air/fuel meter with the led's in a circular arrangement. Got it from Scooby Mania (free plug )

I'm starting to get quite a few guages massing in my car, I'm hoping (when I get some free time) to look into relpacing all the gauges with a flat screen lcd display much like how the R34 Skyline displays it's information. As it would be under the control of a microprocessor it would be simple to also provide an RS-232 link so that a laptop could record any data while your driving. The display would also be configurable to show different combinations of guages in different type of formats ir (circular, bar, numeric etc).
It would basically consist of
1. LCD display with interface
2. A shed load of multiplexed ADCs
3. A half decent microprocessor to control everything.
Would be really nice if it could be projected as a head's up display on the windscreen !!
Any thoughts Mr Banks ?
