Still dithering over D/P choice, and was wondering who makes a mild steel one, as it's been suggested that this will be quieter than a stainless one.

Any other disadvantages to mild steel, other than corrosion?

I guess it will be cheaper to?

Cheers

I thought AdamM said the BPM one was mild? But I may be horribly mistaken.

I was very paranoid about noise - I have a stainless one. The most important bits are to make sure the centre is resonated and the backbox is a quiet one.

Cars with only a backbox are frequently much louder than my full system (Magnex Twindump, PPP centre and backbox) but they are probably less restrictive, but can also rob low down torque.

Due the heat that the downpipe is exposed to, I would think a stainless part is a much better idea....

Thanks

HKS make a mild steel one.

Due to the temperatures.....a stainless one is a better idea.

Why?

Mild steel breaks down at a lower temperature than stainless....

OK, I get the idea, stainless lot better.

I have a fairly quiet BB (WR Sport), so will do the DP and then think about a resonated centre.

Thanks
