Dawes questions

I have seen some of the posts about this product and it seems it it very good. Can you just fit it as it comes out of the box or does it need tweeking etc. Also where is it connected?
Do you just remove the T piece and fit the dawes in its place and blank off the pipe that goes to the solenoid?
My vehicle is standard except from SS backbox and ITG filter.

Fixing + tweaking.
