Yes. It is a simple plastic tube with a clip-on/snap-off top cover. Tucked right up the top on the alloy rear cover. Hard to get at in the car though.
It could be causing pressure to build up if blocked.
Here it is, top right hand cover bolt, biscuit coloured.

It is very tight behind the subframe and dropping the diff is hard work. Best persevere with long screwdrivers, plasters for the fingers and new swear words, usual tool kit stuff on an Impreza...

If the cover gasket needs changing you will need to pull the diff.
There are gaskets between the steel main case and each driveshaft bearing cover (alloy covers on each side) and of course there are lip seals for the driveshafts too!

Prise off the breather cover and clean. Replace and clean the diff as much as you can with water/gunk etc to remove all current traces of oil. Drive the car for a week, and then try to track the leak down (if it is actually leaking!)

I can get my diff out in 60 mins, but awkward heavy job.

With the car on a ramp (such luxury) it will be easy.

Believe me, it is VERY hard to get too much oil in the rear diff!
IF the breather is blocked then as temperature rises the oil expands and I guess some internal pressure could form and eventually eject some oil. If the surface if the diff is dirty, the oil will migrate in the dirt and the oil leak looks far worse than it really is.

Give the diff around the breather area a good clean befor removing it so no grit drops in!

Let me know how you get on.
