Default Horrid squeak from the front

I've got a horrible squeak coming from the front of the car, Only occurs when the car is moving with the wheels pointing anywhere other than straight (Definatly doesn't do it when wheels are straight). I thought it was the power steering pump, but I cannot make it do it when the car is stationary to check, even at full lock. (Thats the sort of squeak that I mean, failing steering pump)
Does anyone Have any ideas of where or what to look for? The car will be on a ramp at my friendly MOT centre on Monday (really bad timing, if its serious), so I can have a poke around underneath.

Car is classic STI5 with 105K on the clock. Unmodded.

is the noise comming from one side (i.e. one of the wheel areas) or under the bonnet?

Could be the droplink bushes in this cold weather

Does it do it when going over speed humps? Best to go over at an angle keeping wheels straight to check. If it does then its bushes

But if it does it continually when turning then it probably isn't

Disconnect the drop links and go for a drive and if no more squeak, then problem location identified. Mine turned out to be the drop link attachment bolts and the stabiliser bar attachment holes which were not close or tight fit. I applied grease to the attachment bolts, nil joy. Finally brought the stabiliser bar to a machine shop where they weld up the holes and machine to a smaller hole for a tight fit and since then, no more embarassed squeak.
Hope this helps.
