gearbox removal problem

Unhappy gearbox removal problem

Hi there people i was wondering if someone could help me? I have taken the gearbox and engine out of my 94 wrx but when I tried to seperate the two they seemed to be stuck I have managed to get a gap of about an inch all round but cant get them free! Any suggestions would be greatful many thanks Michael

Plusgas/ wd40 and brute force!

have you taken out the clutch release bearing pivot pin behind the starter motor under a allen key plug?

Been there, made that mistake. Many moons ago now.

If you've got the box and the block split that's the hard part done.
Would be amazed if its not the clutch fork.
