Question

Which downpipe will work the best with a hks hyper exhaust.

I have a scorpion downpipe on the car at the moment.

Hi, the Hiper is a 3in system, so it will work well with a 3in DP.....

ScoobySport do a 3in

BPM is a 3in (I have a BPM)

Cheers

I ran mine with a Scoobysport 2.5" downpipe.

Seem to do the business on the road and the rollers!!

I don't know where it came from but I have a HKS downpipe on mine. Should go well with the HKS centre and BB that I'm getting!

I too ran mine with a 2.5" downpipe so any downpipe will do provided it is the same length as the OEM item. (the join is in the same place)

Someone told me that the BPM won't mate to it as it is longer I think, but I don't know if that's correct or not.

The HKS Hiper AFAIK is not a 3" system as such. It's actually 2.75" internal diameter although some people do call it a 3" system in their sales lit.

I photographed this to prove it but can't post it here as the uploader has gone, but if anyone wants it emailing to them please mail me.

Cheers

Rich

The BPM won't oh dear....

But I have seen BPM DPs mated to SS centers and BBs, this would suggest that it is the same length??

Can anyone confirm this before I take my car apart tonight?

Cheers

Don't panic Paul, it's only what I've heard.

And like a lot of stuff said on here it could be wrong!

Its not true.

Infact its utter crap.

The BPM will work with HKS mid and back box.

All are same length sections to allow mating to OE.

Some problems arise if the blots do not line up, which I have heard but only in relation to magnex mixing.

All others I have seen are fine.

Is ok to have a 2.5 upstream of a 3 inch. Will still get pressure wave reflections but few will be concerned about that.

I am one of the few.

Scoobymania 3 inch twin dump is fine. I run a BPM, frineds have run BPM with HKS hiper, Bob Rawle previously being one of them aswell as Mark Aigin.

If buying the scoobysport, the main body of the open neck pipe is 3 inch, it only tapers to 2.5 at the end, so you would be better off getting the three inch version which does not taper.

Fitted like a glove

That is a VERY VERY VERY VERY nice exhaust

Nice noise, not too loud, perfect

I think I may be happy for a while
