Default Valvolene Duragear 75W 90 any good?

Hey guys, I tried to get some Castrol Syntrax today for my gearbox, but the best I could find was Valvoline Duragear which is graded the same at 75W 90 and is Synthetic. I'd just like to know if anyone's used this before and if it would be suitable for my 96 Version 3 STI RA.

Thanks.
