Which Clutch?
Will be looking to replace my clutch over the course of the next month, was just wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction.
It's for a MY00 Classic UK Turbo with PPP, isn't likely to be used on a track or strip, it's my daily runner but I do like to open her up when I can, and have a bit of fun when out and about.. especially in the "twisties", so I am capable of making the car give off the "eau de clutch" occasionally.
Anyway, I've seen these three clutches.. and I'm not sure which one to go for..
SUBARU IMPREZA 2.0 TURBO WRX & STI NEW EXEDY CLUTCH KIT on eBay, Subaru, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (item 250154910221 end time 25-Aug-07 10:11:45 BST)
or
SUBARU IMPREZA STi WRX & P1 EXEDY CLUTCH KIT 230mm on eBay, Subaru, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (item 260152211194 end time 01-Sep-07 14:55:55 BST)
and finally
SUBARU IMPREZA 2.0 TURBO WRX & STI EXEDY RACING CLUTCH on eBay, Mitsubishi, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (item 250154910062 end time 14-Sep-07 10:09:49 BST)
Oh and is it worthwhile getting a new flywheel?
Cheers

IMHO:
None of the above.
Call David at Welcome to the API website and get a price for a real exedy performance set and if you wish one of his lighter flywheels.(just the right 'lift' to the throttle response)
Both are fit-n-forget and those blats on a crisp morning will be sweeter still!
Tell him '911' sent you.

Yep but paddle type clutch is probably a bit overkill for a car that is my daily driver that is never going to hit the track and probably will never make over 300bhp isn't it?

There are several versions of the Exedy clutch.
The cheaper ones you see on ebay (etc) are fine but for the Impreza the clutch can get a cooking sometimes.
The units that API sell are high performance grade special to them.
They will tolerate far higher levels of use.
They can fit the lighter flywheel at the same time making sense as you get flat fresh friction surfaces to start with. A Godd Thing to do..
You only buy quality once.
Graham.

David at API will ship clutch parts to whoever you like and the same for the flywheel, but he will need some kind of surcharge for the return of your old one.
He really is a flexible friend.

I bought my exedy clutch kit from 'justclutch' on ebay, apparently they are a big distributor but quite new to ebay, quite a few ppl on here seem to have bought from him aswell.
