I'm about to purchase a Soobysport centre section but before I do, I was wondering what the difference between this and the Magnex with the resonator is ? - what does the resonator do ?

Keep it alot more quiet. I have the Maggy resonated center with SS DP and BB. Far more social for late evening arrivals etc. Maggy centre gives a deeper growl. The SS CC has a very distinctive sound. The Boxer burble is very defined.
