Thumbs up

BIG GRIN!!!!!!

Yes, it's fitted! am I happy? umm, YES! would be an understatement.

At first I was a little disapointed as it did not seem to make any difference to noise or power, well maybe a little gruffer sounding than before, but then i was travlleing through a village at the time so was not giving it large, as the mp boys would say plus I was not exactly sure what to expect.

Decided that I must get suzy some more xmas pressies so decided to pop off to lakeside (shhhh, don't tell her! ) might have also been an excuse to 'test' the downpipe.

What can I say, wow! much deeper bassier sounding, even at the NSL, very nice, throttle response seems a little better as well.

had to drive through the tunnel with the window down, hmm, ok, but other cars made far too much noise for me to hear properly! But the lakeside car parks, oh wow! big, big grin, lovely noise, might have helped that the level I parked on was empty and the sound echoed around.

Thanks to all those of offered advice on downpipes, in no particular order, Andy, Adam, Iain, and others as well. Plus thanks to Lou_C for selling me her BPM, much appreciated.

I'm happy. Now the blackbeast has nice roar to go with it's name.

what's next to mod then?

Markus, you should think about a lambda and knock link before you do anything else.

Gklad you like it for its noise, you havent obviously felt the performance gains yet.

Bear in mind it is mild steel, so it wont be as loud as a full stainless system.

Disconnect the battery tonight before going to bed, then reconnect in the morning.

You would do better to stick some super in it from now on as well

barge, thanks. have been running on optimax or SUL for last two weeks, a) beacuse optimax aint that much dearer (circa 4p more than NUL) plus it's cheaper than SUL round here, 74.9 vs 79.9 for SUL (at sainsbury's I must admit!)

will always be running on SUL or optimax now, as the free flow of the DP will maybe cause problems if I'm still on NUL, would get pops and bangs on NUL though, but it would be engine doing the poping and banging rather than the fuel! so not too good!

Def reset it.

Then drive it how you want it to remember / learn, in other words give it some after the reset & smile

Its gona be cold tonight so, cold night air is more dense than hot summer air, you should be poping & banging like a goodun

To reset you will need to disconnect the battery, the time taken varies on who you talk to some say 30 mins, others say at least 2 hours.
