Hi Simbo,
I run a MY 95 WRX ecu in my MY 94 WRX due to a problem with a major loss of power at 5000rpm. Had something to do with the knock sensor board inside the ecu. Huge difference with the engine, much better all round, no problems.
I am told the 95 ecu is a much better unit than the MY93,94.
cheers,
Steve.

This is the case according to PE too. The 95 ECU I think you need is the Z4.
Equivalent year STI ECU's also go well. Codes 6K/7K (STI/STI RA)
If you find a supply of these, mail me back as they appear to be like rocking horse poo!
Cheers
