Default clutch change? Is it a simple job?

hi, i've got a new clutch for my bros sti v4 import. This is a standard oe replacement clutch kit.

Is it a straight forward job and any competent garage can do the job?
Any special techniques required to fit themcompared to a standard car?
Is it right that the turbo needs to be taken off to do a clutch change?(according to a garage!)

Any info is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The turbo does not need to be taken off. Either the engine can be slid forward, or the gearbox can be dropped out.

Any competent garage should be fit for it, and will charge 150-250 quid.

Got charged £160 plus parts for mine. That said, not many garages wanted to touch the Scoob. A mate has just found one that charges £220.00. So you should aim to stay in that ball park.

Call David at Welcome to the API website as he does packages and you may wish to take one.

The job is 'easy' but there are a few tricks and some things are/can be very awkward.
Noteable are removung the down pipe off the turbo if has never been disturbed and similarly the gearbox off the back of the engine.
It can be an absolute bitch.

(done it all 5 times and the rear diff too)
