HOW STRONG IS THIS DCCD BOX:

Wondering what sort of power/torque this box will handel???

WRX type RA STi Version 3, TY752VB5CA (it is the DCCD one)

it will be just the same as the rest of the earlier gearbox's

Yep, the later boxes are 'stronger'.

I think there is a bit of luck involved here too.
My Sti V3 non dccd box has survived road and track @ 308 x 370 for 3 years, and is still perfect.
That includes about 120 drag starts.

Just installed a V6 Type R dccd box.

You will be pressing your luck over 350 / 350 in my opinion. 911 ' got away with it ' for 3 years 'cos he's obviously a sympathetic gear changer. Most others will break at his level of power.

Don't forget that TY752-VB5CA are best part of ten years old by now, so will have used up a quantity of their ' nine lives '. On a new one you may have had a chance, on a ten year old one you are on borrowed time.
