Default Spec C fuel capability

Over a certain BHP most people recommend the fitting of an upgraded fuel pump, such as the Walbro 255 item.

I know that the Spec C comes with an uprated fuel assembly but I thought that it was purely for surge issues.

Can the stock Spec C fuel system handle more than normal or should you upgrade to the Walbro just to be on the safe side.

EDIT: posted this in the wrong section. Should have been 'general technical'

As soon as most people start reaching the 340/350BHP mark changing the fuel pump is usually recommended. Just wondered if that was the case here.

The Walbro provides better fuel pressure stability at higher boost pressures than the std pump, it is recommended to change. Helps the range of the std 503cc injectors as well.

cheers
