PPP chip + full decat exhaust = problems??

Hi
Heard rumours that there may be problems if a PPP ecu (for now minus the intercooler pipework) is mated to a full decat system e.g Scoobysport. Any ideas?
Thanks
Mike

Are we talking MY01? I was asking about this a few weeks back as I was considering a full de-cat. For Scoobysport you also apparently need the up-pipe to be replaced in order to avoid problems. Can't remember the full details, but do a search.

The problem is probably the lambda sensor. Having three cats(MY01)the car has also 3 Lambda sensors. Prodrive by taking one apart regulates the sensor ( the Ecu) slightly to match the difference of CO. By taking anotherone apart the increase in CO emission is exponential and the second sensor senses wrong parameters and cuts fuel. Therefore for a proper combustion without cats the Ecu must be reprogrammed.

On a MY00 PPP it is fine. Mine also has an induction kit and soon a boost controller. It absolutely flies!
On MY01 PPP I gather Pete Croney said it was fine as long as you had the uppipe cat removed as well otherwise the ignition retard was a bit too near the buffers for comfort.
