If you want loud, then something like the Blitz Nur Spec should get your ears ringing!

And get rid of the cat from the downpipe if they still use them on the 06 model, should be very loud.

Milltek is great, free flowing and working beautifully on the 06

PLEASE DONT FIT AND DRIVE NORMALLY PRIOR TO YOUR MAPPING THOUGH - the boost flies up to around 1.9bar

What with just a exhaust system!

Cant see that happening unless the downpipe is changed as well, should be o.k with just a midsection and backbox.

midsection and backbox - fine but he was talking about no cats. The cats are in the downpipe.

1.9bar of boost though! I bet thats fun until the engine goes bang!

I would have thought that the standard ecu would not allow it to boost that much, and go into some sort of limp home mode!

decat just sets it free and by the time you notice the boost has flown through the roof - luckily i was aware of this and only let it get to 1.45 before backing off the half throttle that I was at

1.9 would kill it very quickly

Some poor sods will find out the hard way if they havent got a boost gauge!

Sorry for the posts that seem like I was doubting you, Its just that I never thought that a full decat could send the boost up that high! Its that the past couple of scoobs ive had(MY00, MY04), ive had full decats on them and had no problems with them, where as my mates MY96 Type RA with a full decat used to hit boost cut all the time.

if you had your MY04 on a RR - the boost spikes would have been huge as it spikes them reels itself in... would have felt slightly jerky through the acceleration too. The classics arent quite so touchy.

Back to topic - Miltek for me - nice unobtrusive note when cruising and at low speeds - fantastic fruity rasp when at WOT - love it and so does my car

5zigen 3" decat thru pipe and Ninja sports cat down pipe. Has to be the loudest setup on the market, easy 120 db.
