It went with a bit of a bang, but, surprisingly, it still drives
It still worked going forwards, but wouldn't reverse more than about 6ft

Forgive the non-technical talk- the geary thing on the right I'm told is the bit that drives the front wheels.
The gears are retained by a circlip type thing, which appears to have failed, allowing it to ride up its shaft.
My totally uneducated guess is that it didn't engage properly when it came back down.
I reckon it should polish out though

I've got the old STi4 gearbox and diff sitting on a pallet in the factory from when I fitted the DCCD; thought it would be a laugh to fit the RA box & diff that came with it to the 2.5
I've been walking past it for weeks thinking 'I must sell that'- I'm VERY glad I didn't, its going back in tomorrow....
