two people hav said a td04 and three hav said a vf23 but i think these people are going off hearsay, cant see just from looking at it and dont want to go taking it off just to see, any real pro'z ouy there who actually no and could tell me this would be wikid,,,,,,
and also whats the differance between the 99 wrx intercooler and the 99 sti intercooler, ive had them both side by side an cant see any differance (mayby bigger piping but not by much at all) and it worth changing the wrx ic to the sti ic,,
any adive would be wikid

i got the ps ratings off the mrt performance chart for jdm cars, the my99 wagon and saloons had 280ps and my99 sti's had 300ps, have also check a few more charts they all had the same figures, exept one that said all cars of that year had 280ps

Im sure that we've talked about this before. Is the car an imported JDM? If so, then Im afraid that the reference that youre refering to is incorrect. Later JDM F5 GF8s were rated at 240PS (as were FATs); not 280PS. To the best of my knowledge NZ/Aus cars are mechanically similar to UK cars although theyre branded 'WRX'.
I believe that this car will have a straight entry TD04 turbocharger, similar to V4> UK Saloons.
