Excuse the vague description but if anyone can shed some light...

MY93WRX, was running fine, went to drive off in it yesterday and it cut out and now refuses to start, the engine is turning, im getting a spark and fuel through.....any ideas??

This happened on my old MY94WRX, it turned out to be a bad earth on the engine, or so I was told. I was able to bump start it though.
Editted to say it cant be what I suggested as you say the engine is turning over. Just ignore me and I might go away.

I'd suspect the crank position sensor - went on a Renault 19 16v I had and did exactly as you describe. Anyone with a select monitor can diagnose this...
