Auto - doesn't engage 1st gear, help!
Hi All,
I've got a MY00 Legacy 2.5.
Problem is that when initially putting the selector into D the gear box doesn't engage 1st. This is rectified by holding revs at about 1.5 - 2 k and then it clunks in. Sometimes this can take quite a while though.
I had the oil replaced earlier this year and this made a small improvement for a short time.
So two questions:
1. Is the gearbox / torque convertor in need of replacement?
2. Any decent auto gearbox specialists in/around Woking?
