Lost 6th gear.....
As thread says i missed third gear at about 6400rpm now when i try to select 6th it feels like the leaver is stuck in a bag of treacle with stone chippings in!! If I hold it gently on the gate it goes in and 6th works fine with no noises but then its the same trying to get it out of 6th again.
Any one got any ideas what could be wrong and also where is a good place to get it looked at im near Guildford.
Thanks
Brad

Not under warrenty anymore.....I wish!
Not as bad this morning it will go into 6th but only with a bit of a fight. Can anybody else shed any light on what might of happened. Are 6th and 3rd related in the gearbox i.e on the same selector fork or somthing like that?
Anymore help or advise would be great
Thanks
Brad

Sounds like you've bent a selector rail and it is catching on the casing through which it feeds. Unless you are REALLY, REALLY lucky it won't get better until it comes out and has attention.
